Course Description

Fall in love with pastels and discover this beautiful and colourful medium. Using a step-by-step approach, I will demonstrate the fundamentals of pastels such as mark making techniques, layering and colour mixing – all in a fun and encouraging environment. After a few skill building activities, you’ll create your own small pastel painting. Lots of demonstrations and individual attention provided. Degas Pastel Society 20th Biennial National Exhibition

Honoured to have pastels “Summer Reflections” and “Fishing by Moonlight” juried into the Degas Pastel Society’s 20th Biennial National Exhibition. Pastel Society of Eastern Canada Pixel Pastel 2024 The International Online Art Exhibition

Honoured to have “Bona Vista Blue Skies” juried into the Pastel Society of Eastern Canada International Online Art Exhibition, “Pixel Pastel 2024”. Thank you to jurors Susan Story and Taimeng Lim and congratulations to my fellow artists. Pastel Artists Canada 34th Juried Purely Pastel Open Exhibition

I’m honoured to be included in the Pastel Artists Canada 34th Juried Purely Pastel Open Exhibition. The show opens Tuesday October 8th to Sunday October 20th, 2024 with the opening and reception planned for the afternoon of Saturday October 12th at the Federation Gallery in Vancouver B.C.  Thank you to the jurors: Susan Typert MPAC-EP, SCA, Clarence Porter PAC, MPAC, PSA and Ron Underhill MPAC .  The online version of the show can be seen at https://www.pastelartists.ca.

Central Mass Pastel Society 2nd International Pastels Plus Exhibition

Honoured to be selected for the Central Mass Pastel Society’s Second International Pastels Plus Exhibition. From the 232 paintings submitted from 129 Artists from around the world, 90 pastel paintings using a variety of additional creative approaches, materials and mediums were chosen from 75 artists.
