My painting “Summer Fun at Spencer Smith Park” portrays the fun that children and their parents were having on a hot summer day. Spencer Smith Park’s waterfront playground is a welcome respite, especially after a year of the restrictions of Covid. The children are having fun: playing and socializing outdoors, enjoying the playground equipment, riding their bikes and scooters and meeting new people, including those who are disabled. The two Moms enjoy the park as a safe outing for their young children as well as a way for much needed conversation.

- Show and Tell Virtual Art Exhibitionby admin
Artists featured in this exhibition included Catherine Lorraway, Sumita Pal, Bridget Poole, Lisa Smith, Gunta Sturis and Rose Ann Vita. They broke new ground by reflecting on the scope of their work and their unique concepts. They explored new territory in the virtual space and underscored the importance of the exhibition space as a site to exchange, connect and advance an artist’s career trajectory.
During their time together in an online class, they dissected every aspect of exhibiting art from formulating a theme, promotional material, layout design and how to follow up after closing. This show is the realization of what they learned and discovered; it marks a new viewpoint as they continue to show and tell.
