My primed aluminum leaf for the Burlington Artscape Artists Leaf project. I am part of 50 artists who are painting large leaves which will be displayed and later auctioned off to support Joseph Brant Hospital and the Hospital Foundation. #leafforlife, #oakvilleartist #oakvilleartsociety #burlingtonfineart #burlingtonontario #publicart #JosephBrantHospital #dailycollector #artforgood See more

Day 9 I have been nominated by Nicole Dolson to post 10 days of art. show an image of my art, my studio or an exhibition for each of the next 10 days. No need for an explanation. I love experimenting with new techniques. This was painted as part of a demo of low relief techniques for my pastel class. I wanted to show the flowers moving in the wind. #pastelinstruction#burlingtonfineart #dailycollector #oakvilleartist #oakvilleartsociety #springflowers #spring2021 See more

I enjoy painting with the Monday painters plein air group and with the lock downs ending hope to join them soon. "Summer Pond" was painted on location a hot summer day in pastel. #pastelinstruction #burlingtonfineart #dailycollector #oakvilleartist #oakvilleartsociety #summer2021 #originalart #pleinair #pleinairpainting #canadianartist #barewallsareboring See more

I love workshops and continuing to learn. Here is a still life from a recent BFAA workshop with Clarence Porter. I used clear gesso and Golden pumice gel mixed with acrylic paint applied with a palette knife for texture. The first layer was pale yellow around the pineapple and the layer underneath the pineapple was pink. Once dry, pastels were applied overtop. #burlingtonfineart #oakvilleartist #oakvilleartsociety #dailycollector #pastel #pastelartist #learningeveryday #pastelinstruction #canadianartist #pineapple See more
