I am delighted to be a part of the Bruce Trail Inspired 3 art fundraiser for the Bruce Trail Conservancy Fund. The Bruce Trail Inspired 3—Art Show Fundraiser brings together five artists with one shared source of inspiration—the landscapes, trails and natural beauty of The Bruce Trail. Connected by their shared appreciation for art and nature, each of the five local artists including Anne More, Janet Jardine, Rob Peachey, Victoria Pearce and myself will be portraying their unique interpretations of the viewpoints, colours and experiences found along The Bruce Trail in unique original paintings.

This is the third Bruce Trail Inspired fundraising exhibition. The first two shows raised more than $11,000 for The Bruce Trail Conservancy, and we are coming together again in 2026 with 30% of every art show sale donated directly to the Conservancy. Connected by their shared appreciation for art and nature, the artists support the Bruce Trail Conservancy in its mission of “Preserving a ribbon of wilderness, for everyone, forever.”

Inspired by the landscapes of the Niagara Escarpment, the exhibition raises awareness and funds for the protection and acquisition of lands along the Bruce Trail, as well as for trail stewardship. The Bruce Trail is part of a connected conservation corridor that allows wildlife to move between natural areas, supports biodiversity, and helps species adapt as their habitats change.

However, not all lands along the Trail are protected. Currently, only 72.1% of the Bruce Trail is permanently protected, leaving 27.9% on vulnerable lands. The Bruce Trail Conservancy is working to protect these remaining connections. Their Talisman Forest Nature Reserve campaign aims to raise $7.5 million to protect and restore 134 acres in the Beaver Valley and secure 885 metres of the Bruce Trail. Thirty percent of proceeds from the exhibition will be donated to the Bruce Trail Conservancy to support their land conservation and trail stewardship efforts.

See below for views of my own paintings on display at this show.

The Bruce Trail Conservancy is a charitable organization dedicated to preserving a ribbon of wilderness along the Niagara Escarpment—for everyone, forever.

Through land conservation, stewardship and the care of one of Canada’s oldest and longest footpaths, the Conservancy helps protect the forests, valleys, wetlands and natural spaces that make the Bruce Trail such an important part of Ontario’s landscape.

When you purchase an original work from the The Bruce Trail Inspired 3—Art Show Fundraiser, you are not only taking home a piece inspired by the trail, you are also helping support its future.

Another way to support: If you can’t purchase art or travel to the exhibition, you can still support our fundraising efforts by making a donation through our CanadaHelps fundraising page. Your donation will go directly to the Bruce Trail Conservancy, and you will receive a tax receipt.
