Spring Into Colour: Pastels for the Beginner Artist Levels 1 to 3
Wednesday nights, 7-9pm. 6 weeks. April 13, 2022 to May 18, 2022
Explore the potential of pastels to portray the vibrant colours of spring. By experimenting with different colour schemes, underpaintings and exploring layering of colours, and texture, we will discover how to create dramatic paintings. We will also build pastel techniques using still life and florals. Although this course is meant to build on skills developed in Colour My World part one, artists new to pastel are also welcome and encouraged to discover the potential of this wonderful medium. You will be provided with photographic references, but students are encouraged to work from their own more meaningful landscape photographs. Class demonstrations and individual instruction provided throughout in a fun, supportive environment.
