You’ll learn how to create a stunning pastel painting from start to finish – from setting up an effective palette and safe studio practices, to creating an effective value composition, choosing and mixing colours, using layers and mark making and how to add the finishing touches on your final artwork. Using a step-by-step approach, Cathy will demonstrate the fundamentals of pastel in a fun, supportive environment. Lots of demonstrations and individual attention provided. Subjects will include still life, landscapes and florals. Some previous drawing experience helpful.
